Letter to Satan

So many fear you. Shun those who whisper your name are their thoughts. You lurk in the shadows ready to tempt those oblivious to your presence. There was never a darkness that light could not shatter. My light can shatter you. Tempt me, just try. Serpent in the garden. Demon on the mountain top overlooking the fleshy kingdom that could be His on Earth. What a coward you are. What a fool! Were you afraid of Him, standing there? In His dirty white robes? Forty days and forty nights, must’ve taken a toll on him right? He is weakened now. Venerable to your evil ways. So you might slip into His mind and make Him praise you. For Him to betray His Father and His children. Wrong again! Why do you think so many worship Him? Lay down their entire lives, and praise his word and sacrifice, just to see Him break down then? To you, of all worthless worms. Would He, collapse at your puny attempt to stain Him? How many stumbling blocks and temptations have you led so many off of the path to Him? I stand by his side, for He stands by mine. With him by me I will spread my wings of light and arms of welcoming, love and peace to guide those off of the path of darkness and into the light. You are no threat, my light is and always has been far too bright for you hasn’t it? You have never touched me. Never uttered a single word unto my ear. When I was lead astray, it was on my own that I had not heard God’s voice. He protected me, showed me the light. You knew once I was on the path to Him, my light would forever be too bright for your serpent eyes to gaze upon ever again. I was never prone to your evil. And though you found every time you tried to wheedle your way into my Spirit, God was watching. He would not let a Lamb of God fall victim to you! His own dear children. He gave this lamb a test. And while He was closer than I ever knew He scooped me up in His paw, and I was never truly lost as I had led myself to believe. So what I thought to be my doing turned out to be a test of God. I have come through. I have witnessed God’s glory, love, guidance and light first hand. I will show others, I promise you this. I am your enemy. I will show them God’s love, and I will create an army that you will never touch. An army of those who have seen Him for themselves. I am not afraid of you, I have made that clear enough. The only one I fear, is God. I fear Him with reverence and respect. Respect is fear, perhaps not in the exact definition, but to bow one’s head in respect is a sort of fear. I do not fear you, because to fear you would be to respect you, and it is something I will never do. So I wish God to take me to that mountain top. For forty days and forty nights, with nothing but a robe on my back. So I could see you for myself. The one so many fear for no reason at all. I would bring those whom I have shown God’s love to. I stand without a material weapon. A fleshy weapon. I would use the weapon God gave me, and the weapon he gave every human heart able to wield. Love, and light. Light is love, and love is light. And so I will brandish my sword of light and smite thee upon the mountain. You can never break me. You can never break us. Give Glory to your Father, or die trying to tempt us. For if you tempt us, you tempt Him. So I have three words for you:
